The first GIRL JAM, 12th July, Fistral Beach, NEWQUAY : CT supports UK Bodyboarding
Chilled Turtle are proud to be supporting and promoting UK Bodyboarding with the first ‘GIRL JAM’ : organised by Clemi Hardie : Girl Jam 2009.
This summer heralds the birth of Girl Jam - the UK’s first all-female bodyboarding event aimed at bringing girls together from across the country to surf and share their skills. The event is open to everyone, whether you are ripping it up around the globe or just want to try something new.
The event is being held on July 12th at Fistral Beach, Newquay, Cornwall in association with Rob Barbers Bodyboard School (www.robbarber.com - 01637 879 571) and supported by Three Sixty Magazine (http://orcasurf.co.uk/threesixty) - starting at 10am, meeting at the Carnmarth Hotel. Chilled Turtle are promoting the event and look forward to working with Clemi for this and future events.
There is loads of great stuff lined up for the day - a morning coaching session to kick the day with our event photographer and videographer with a video analysis session afterwards. After lunch and beach games (volleyball anyone?) it’s back in the water for a free-surf or another coaching session for those that fancy it, all finished up with a great BBQ and bodyboarding DVD’s. There will also be goody bags and prizes for those involved.
The cost for the event is £20 (normal price: £40) - this includes a 2 hour bodyboarding lesson with professional and qualified coaches, wetsuit and kit for the day, changing and storage facilities, goody bag, video analysis session and event DVD.
For those with their own equipment and not wanting to take part in the coaching session, please come along for the afternoon beach games and free-surf - all for free, plus the chance to join in on the BBQ and DVD screening!
